In short: you use the gallery builder on this page entirely in your browser. The page sets no cookies and loads fonts, logos and scripts from its own server. The only exception is the visitor count via the network’s own statistics server, described below.

Visiting this page

reference.member.show runs on a dedicated server that we rent from Hostinger International Ltd. in a data centre in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. A data processing agreement is in place with Hostinger. When you visit, the server processes your IP address, the time, the address requested and your browser identifier, as is technically necessary to deliver the page. It keeps no access log. Only errors, such as a request for an address that does not exist, are written to the error log together with the IP address. This log is limited in size and is continuously overwritten. The legal basis is the secure operation of the page (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).

Visitor count

An exception to what this page otherwise says about outside services: every page loads a small counting script from analytics.axaix.app, the network's own statistics server. It is hosted in a data centre in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, and the data is not passed on to third parties.

The script sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. It records the page viewed, the page the visit came from, screen width and language, the broad device type, browser and operating system, and clicks on downloads and on links to other websites. Your IP address is used only briefly to determine country and city and to form a daily hash, then discarded and never stored. The hash changes every day, so a visitor cannot be recognised from one day to the next. Raw data is deleted after twelve months. If your browser sends “Do Not Track”, the visit is not counted.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in measuring the reach of these pages with as little data as possible (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).

Advertising

Through the counting script, every page also loads the advertising script ad.member.show/axaix.js. On the network’s magazines it shows labelled ads from members of the member.show network, and banner.member.show serves the banner images. Both addresses belong to the network itself and are hosted by the provider Hostinger. No data is passed on to advertisers or any other third parties.

The advertising script sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser and builds no user profiles. Which ad appears depends only on the page viewed and its language. Impressions and clicks are counted solely as totals per ad, page and day, and your IP address is not stored for this. A click on an ad passes briefly through ad.member.show and then on to the advertiser.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in funding the magazines through advertising and showing advertisers the reach of their ads (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).

Only the start page, the legal notice and the privacy policy are counted, each in German, English and Spanish. The gallery embedded on other websites loads no counting script. Ads appear only on the network’s magazines, not here.

Gallery builder

The magazines, colours and layout you choose are processed only in your browser. The finished code is created there as well. Nothing is sent to our server, and nothing is stored in your browser.

When a website embeds the gallery, its visitors’ browsers load the script and the logos from reference.member.show. Our server processes the IP address and the address of the embedding page, as is technically necessary to deliver the files, and stores none of it, except in the error log as described above. The gallery sets no cookies, stores nothing in the browser and counts no visits. The logos link to the respective magazines; only a click takes you there. The operator of the embedding website is responsible for that website.

Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15 to 21 GDPR), and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority; ours is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia.
